Senior Solution Architect

Introduction

Information Architects lead and support activities that transform business needs into Information and data flow to realize business outcomes. Information and Solutions Architects adhere to architectural guidelines, build on the strengths of the application portfolio with coherent information flow, and are always in pursuit of reducing complexity. 

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious professional, knowledgeable of processes and Information flows supporting Lifecycle Management processes within Oil & Gas. Ideally, you have experience in moving from Documents to Data, and in implementing such solutions and information flow. 

Responsibilities and tasks

• Holistic overall responsibility: the end-to-end responsibility for an information architecture and design to ensure our client gets the right solutions within a domain or sub-domain.
• Evaluate and translate business, information, and technical requirements into architectural blueprints for a solution, portfolio of solutions or products.
• Define the information formats, with their appropriate roadmaps, in collaboration with the suppliers and the solution providers.
• Represent client organisation on relevant arenas and industry initiatives where new data formats are developed and industrialized.
• Responsible for architecting the right application and systems into our larger ecosystem.
• Create and document architectural designs to guide and contextualize solution development across initiatives aligned with the customer, portfolio, and transformation objectives.
• Support and ensure that development and implementation activities are delivered according to design.
• Provide consulting support and facilitate sound architecture decisions to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles and guidelines.
• Liaise with relevant system owners, subject matter experts, product teams and service providers to secure validity of solutions.

Required competence and experience

• Min. 2 years experience with stakeholder management, communication and deliveries involving people, processes, and technology.
• Min. 5-10 years experience in a information architect role with responsibility for implementation of information architecture, to ensure customer gets the right solution.
• Experience from the oil and gas industry is required, experience within engineering data and Lifecycle management is an advantage.
• Experience with various solution blueprints, architectural patterns and principles, data modelling, data- and integration- platforms is an advantage.
• Fluent English is required, both verbal and written. Fluent Norwegian is advantageous.

This is a 1-year assignment based in Stavanger, and our client would like the candidate to start in January 2025.
