Buyer/Senior Buyer
Main tasks:
- Follow-up of complex procurement packages.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies with a strong emphasis on cost reduction and value creation.
- Conduct market screening and maintain excellent market knowledge to identify cost-effective suppliers and solutions.
- Prepare inquiry documents for major equipment and services in close cooperation with engineering.
- Perform commercial evaluations of quotations.
- Issue purchase orders and contracts.
- Monitor and ensure delivery within the agreed timeframe, cost, and quality.
- Manage professional variation handling.
- Handle risks, deviations, and invoice processing.
- Ensure all activities comply with the Companys guidelines, work instructions, and procedures.
- Continuously work on improvements to reduce internal and external risks and costs, enhance delivery quality, and strengthen collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
- Relevant subjects: Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering and similar.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience within supply chain management in Oil & Gas.
- You are commercially aware.
- You are professional and an independent team player.
- You have strong oral and written communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
- You are flexible and willing to adapt to changes.
- You engage positively with others and demonstrate a high degree of collaboration skills.
- You work in a structured and efficient manner, always in accordance with applicable guidelines.
- Experience with SAP is an advantage.
- A high degree of data discipline is preferred.
