We are currently looking for a Commissioning System Responsible Engineer – Utility/Material Handling to assist in a major new build project on NCS.
Position Purpose
- System responsible for ensuring planning, preparation and execution of commissioning for designated systems in a safe, efficient and timely manner according to Project Completion Strategy and commissioning plans and ensure they meet all Company’s project and operational requirements, including verification and assurance.
- Accountable for ensuring the safe and efficient handover of plant and equipment to the Asset Operations team upon completion of commissioning activities.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Contribute in the preparation phase with review and verification of documentation and drawings that are relevant to MC and Commissioning of designated systems.
- Provide engineering input
- Estimation and planning of commissioning scope of work onshore and offshore for designated systems, including input to plan.
- Able to work independently to plan and execute MC follow-up and commissioning activities.
- Participate in MC punch outs and FATs at supplier sites.
- Deliver input and update progress into project completion system PIMS.
- Develop, review, and implementation of commissioning procedures.
- Coordinate with different departments and disciplines to ensure efficient execution of commissioning with high focus on HSSE.
- Participate in discipline MC punch rounds at sites for designated systems.
- Plan and execute commissioning activities in a timely manner based on Commissioning plan.
- Ensure a smooth transition from Project to Operations.
- Participate in pre-start-up and performance test reviews as necessary.
Essential experience and job requirements
- Experience from NORSOK projects.
- System-based commissioning knowledge and understanding
- Track record of delivery in the Oil & Gas industry for the Norwegian Continental Shelf and able to demonstrate effective system commissioning skills are a major advantage.
- Familiarity with Project Completions Systems and document management systems. Experience with PIMS is an advantage.
- Ability to engage and lead a team of commissioning engineers & technicians to achieve timely execution of commissioning activities.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
- Prior knowledge of Palfinger electrical offshore cranes is a major advantage.
Contract period: 01.07.2024 – 31.03.2027
Primary work location: Oslo. Frequent business travel for follow up of supplier packages and longer stays at vendor site in Poland is a requirement of the assignment. Mobilization to fabrication site at Stord in 2025.
