General Job Description
The Commissioning System Responsible for Utility systems is responsible for the planning, execution and supervision of Completion and Commissioning activities for designated Utility systems related to the delivery and integration of the platform.
Position Purpose
System responsible for ensuring planning, preparation and execution of commissioning for designated Utility systems in a safe, efficient and timely manner according to Project Completion Strategy and commissioning plans and ensure they meet all Company’s project and operational requirements, including verification and assurance
Accountable for ensuring the safe and efficient handover of plant and equipment to the Asset Operations team upon completion of commissioning activities.
Main tasks:
- Contribute in the preparation phase with review and verification of documentation and drawings that are relevant to MC and Commissioning of designated systems.
- Provide engineering input.
- Estimation and planning of commissioning scope of work onshore and offshore for designated systems, including input to plan.
- Able to work independently to plan and execute MC follow-up and commissioning activities.
- Participate in MC punch outs and FATs at supplier sites.
- Deliver input and update progress into project completion system PIMS.
- Develop, review, and implementation of commissioning procedures.
- Coordinate with different departments and disciplines to ensure efficient execution of commissioning with high focus on HSSE.
- Plan and call off ATS as and when required.
- Manage assistance personnel from contractors and other resources providing services.
- Ensure spare parts and special tools are available prior to execution of commissioning activities.
- Plan and ensure first fills are available in timely fashion and perform first fills.
- Provide leadership to ensure that a high level of focus is maintained on health, safety, and the environment to achieve Company’s expectations.
- Plan and coordinate commissioning assistance and support as required.
- Participate in discipline MC punch rounds at sites for designated systems.
- Plan and execute commissioning activities in a timely manner based on Commissioning plan.
- Ensure a smooth transition from Project to Operations.
- Participate in pre-start-up and performance test reviews as necessary.
- This position is fully mobile with base location onshore at site on Stord, with offshore rotation a possibility.
Qualifications:
- BSc. in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education / experience.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
- Good knowledge of the English and Norwegian languages (both written and verbal).
- Experience from NORSOK projects.
- System-based commissioning knowledge and understanding.
- Track record of delivery in the Oil & Gas industry for the Norwegian Continental Shelf and able to demonstrate effective system commissioning skills are a major advantage.
- Familiarity with Project Completions Systems and document management systems.
- Experience with PIMS is an advantage.
- Ability to engage and lead a team of commissioning engineers & technicians to achieve timely execution of commissioning activities.

Contract period: 30.06.2026 (after agreement) – 31.12.2027
