Completion Engineer

Introduction

On behalf of our client, an oil and gas operator, we are currently looking for a Completion System Lead with extensive experience using PIMS in project management work. 

Main responsibilities

• Support the Project/Alliance Completion Manager with the day-to-day operation of the Completion system database. 
• Support the project/alliance with relevant knowledge and training.
• Support the project with other commissioning tasks as necessary. 

Tasks and deliverables

• Create and structure the discipline-based MC Packages in a meaningful and flexible manner to facilitate progress MC punch-out (excluding piping scope – by Contractor/Supplier
• Responsible for correctly using completion systems within a project, including CMS, query management, WO, WPR, SAS change log, LUN and ATS.  
• Follow-up on all new tag numbers being imported into PIMS CMS to ensure that they are scoped to the relevant CP/MC Packages in a timely manner.
• Facilitate meetings to bring up interfaces between Pims and contractors’ systems. Report any errors during the import and follow up.
• Report and follow up on Pims errors and bugs to support and Pims coordinator.
• Assist MC and commissioning during the set-up of the completion structure and ensure that this is according to Company governing documentation. 
• Verify progress and performance quality for all completion activities on- and offshore.
• Monitor Contractors’ definition of PO, MC and Preservation scope.
• Training of personnel in use of PIMS CMS™, internal, Contractor and Suppliers, also be a resource person for the use of PIMS CMS in the project.
• Assist Construction with processing of MC documentation and issuing of Ready for Commissioning Certificates (RFCC).
• Identify project risks and participate in risk assessments.
• Provide training to project personnel and ensure that all handover processes follow governing documentation.
• In close cooperation with Contractor, ensure quality in installation, hand over and MC/Commissioning plans. If necessary, give instructions to Contractor concerning MC/Commissioning matters to keep up with sufficient quality.
• Identify improvements to completion systems and raise them to the Systems and Processes Manager. 
• Participate in weekly meetings and workshops with basis and contribute to assigned tasks.

This is a contract lasting 1,5+ years, based in Oslo. Some travel to construction sites in Fitjar and Samnanger is required.
