Main tasks:
- Contribute in the preparation phase with review and verification of documentation and drawings that are relevant to MC and Commissioning of designated systems.
- Provide engineering input / feedback.
- Estimation and planning of commissioning scope of work onshore and offshore for designated systems, including input to plan.
- Able to work independently to plan and execute MC follow-up and commissioning activities.
- Participate in MC punch outs and FATs at supplier sites.
- Deliver input and update progress into project completion system PIMS.
- Develop, review, and implementation of commissioning procedures.
- Coordinate and Interact with different departments and disciplines to ensure efficient execution of commissioning with high focus on HSSE.
- Plan and call off ATS as and when required.
- Manage assistance personnel from contractors and other resources providing services.
- Ensure spare parts and special tools are available prior to execution of commissioning activities.
- Plan and ensure first fills are available in timely fashion and perform first fills.
- Provide leadership to ensure that a high level of focus is maintained on health, safety, and the environment to achieve Company’s expectations.
- Plan and coordinate commissioning assistance and support as required.
- Participate in discipline MC punch rounds at sites for designated systems.
- Plan and execute commissioning activities in a timely manner based on Commissioning plan.
- Ensure a smooth transition from Project to Operation.
- Participate in pre-start-up and performance test reviews as necessary.
- This position is fully mobile with base location onshore office Stord, and later offshore.
Qualifications:
- BSc/MSc in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education / experience.
- Experience from NORSOK projects.
- System-based commissioning knowledge and understanding.
- SAS logic and SCD knowledge is a major advantage.
- Experience with Instrument implementation according to Safety standards and norms.
- SAS dynamic simulator experience is a major advantage.
- Track record of delivery in the Oil & Gas industry for the Norwegian Continental Shelf and able to demonstrate effective system commissioning skills are a major advantage.
- Familiarity with Project Completions Systems and document management systems. Experience with PIMS is an advantage.
- Ability to engage and lead a team of commissioning engineers & technicians to achieve timely execution of commissioning activities.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

Additional job information
The Commissioning System Responsible Instrument SAFETY is responsible for the planning, execution and supervision of Completion and Commissioning activities for designated systems related to the delivery and integration of the platform on the Project.
Instrument SAFETY and SAS responsible are also responsible for discipline input to systems connected to and controlled by designated systems.
The position shall test and verify implemented safety functions in field instruments and SAS systems according to design and requirements.
This position is fully mobile with base location onshore office Stord, and later offshore.
Position Purpose
System responsible for ensuring planning, preparation and execution of commissioning for designated systems in a safe, efficient and timely manner according to Project Completion Strategy and commissioning plans and ensure they meet all project and operational requirements, including verification and assurance.
Accountable for ensuring the safe and efficient handover of plant and equipment to the Asset Operations team upon completion of commissioning activities.
