Senior Telecom Engineer

Introduction

We are looking for an experienced Telecom Engineer to work with detail engineering in a large offshore greenfield/brownfield project within the telecom discipline.

The right candidate will join a major project and will have the opportunity to develop his/her technical skills within telecommunication systems design and personal skills in a large international project-working environment. 

Typical tasks

• Define and develop Telecom philosophy, and design solutions for Telecom sub systems including remote operations, maintenance, monitoring, and new technologies
• Follow up telecom vendors and vendors technical documentation.
• Interface to other disciplines, suppliers, other installations, and client
• Develop and complete engineering documents and data registers
• Participate and contribute to relevant test activities
• Define engineering documents. 
• Site support to fabrication yard.

Required qualifications

• Master, or Bachelor degree or relevant technical education. Long relevant practical experience may outweigh and compensate for a lack of formal education.
• EX course (max 5 years old)
• FSE course
• Minimum 6 years’ experience from Telecom engineering and telecom system design activities within greenfield oil and gas projects on the Norwegian continental shelf. Experience from Norwegian projects is a requirement.
• Experience and deep knowledge of telecom design according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, DNVGL and IEC.
